KNOWING AND USING THE BIBLE

There are three opportunities to deepen your knowledge of the Bible across the Pastoral Area:

Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible - This excellent 8-week DVD course is being run at Sacred Heart, Ringwood, and anyone from the Pastoral Area is invited. The course, which gives an excellent overview of the bible and how it relates to everyday life, will be on Wednesday mornings at 10.45am (following morning mass), and repeated on Thursday evenings at 7.00pm, beginning on 21st/22nd February. There will be four sessions prior to Holy week and Easter, then four more beginning 11th/12th April. For more information or to sign up contact Terry Mee as soon as possible and by 21st January at latest (resources need to be ordered) on 01425 479597 or terry.mee@btinternet.com. There will be a maximum cost per person of £19 for participant resources, but we hope to be able to negotiate some funding/subsidy to reduce this figure.

Highcliffe Bible Study Group - Meets every Wednesday from 7.15pm in the Annexe at Holy Redeemer Church, Highcliffe (15 Kilmington Way BH23 5BL) led by John Murphy.

NOTE: This group will be moving to Thursday evenings after Easter

Christchurch Parish Home Scripture Group - Meets every Wednesday from 7.30pm in Mudeford, led by Moira Whelan

COME TO THE FEAST

What is the Mass really about and why do Catholics say it is so important?

How do you answer when someone asks you: “Why do you do…?” or “Why do you say…?” How can we deepen our understanding and experience of coming to Mass?

Throughout November 2017, the whole Pastoral Area is invited to explore the Mass together – broken down into 5 sections

** Special focus at all Sunday Masses **

** Local ‘house groups’ to go deeper **

** Youth Events **

FACEBOOK:

Did you know we have a Pastoral Area Facebook group? If you use Facebook, you are invited to join – search for “Avon Stour Pastoral Area” and then click on “Join”. It serves as a forum for us to share information about Pastoral Area matters or of particular interest to Pastoral Area members. Currently we have 55 members and it is a Closed Group, which means the posts are not viewable by the general public. The more members we have, the more useful this group will become. Here is a link to this facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/985692274837818/
