ALPHA Taster Sessions
What is Alpha like, and who is it for?
Please come to one of our Taster Sessions and find out – and why not invite a friend, work colleague or family member to come too? After that, you can decide if Alpha is for you or not.
Taster Sessions as follows, each with free buffet meal, Alpha film and course information:
•Thu 6th Sept 12.30-2.30pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace, Southbourne BH6 3ER

•Tue 11th Sept 7.15-9.15pm at St Joseph’s, Christchurch BH23 1EH
This time, as well as a ‘big’ course in Christchurch on Tuesday evenings, there will also be a few ‘small’ house-group courses (numbers permitting): on Monday evenings in Burton, Wednesday mornings in Southbourne, Thursday afternoons in Southbourne and Thursday evenings in Ringwood.
All courses begin in the week beginning 24th September and end in the week beginning 3rd December, with a shared ‘AwayDay’ on Saturday 3rd November (no sessions during half term week 22-26 Oct).
If you’d like to come to a Taster Session or for more details about the course, please email email@example.com

Fanning the Flame Summer Camp 20th - 24th August 2018
This summer, the Fanning the Flame Catholic Mission will once again be running their Summer camp for 10-25 year olds in the New Forest. The Bishop was there last summer and it was great with everyone really enjoying it. There was good crowd of youngsters from all over the Diocese. The weather helped and there was an outdoor Mass.
Wherever you are in your Catholic faith, come and be refreshed and renewed in God’s love for you!
COME TO THE FEAST
What is the Mass really about and why do Catholics say it is so important?
How do you answer when someone asks you: “Why do you do…?” or “Why do you say…?” How can we deepen our understanding and experience of coming to Mass?
Throughout November 2017, the whole Pastoral Area is invited to explore the Mass together – broken down into 5 sections
** Special focus at all Sunday Masses **
** Local ‘house groups’ to go deeper **
** Youth Events **

ALPHA coming Lent-Pentecost 2017
Did you know we have a Pastoral Area Facebook group? If you use Facebook, you are invited to join – search for “Avon Stour Pastoral Area” and then click on “Join”. It serves as a forum for us to share information about Pastoral Area matters or of particular interest to Pastoral Area members. Currently we have 55 members and it is a Closed Group, which means the posts are not viewable by the general public. The more members we have, the more useful this group will become.
